925

We love silver.

We love the color silver.

We love silver jewelery.

We even love saying "silver".

Seriously fun word- "silver".

The surprising thing about sterling silver, besides that it's so much fun to say, is that it isn't just pure silver.

Because pure silver is soft, other metals are added so that it is stronger, it will retain its luster longer and it won't scratch as easily.

According to Wikipedia, the sterling silver standard has a minimum millesimal fineness (which is a verifiably geeky system of denoting the purity of alloys by parts per thousand of pure metal by mass in the alloy) of 925.

So, in a nutshell, that means genuine sterling silver is a combination of metals but it must have at least 92.5% pure silver. That is the silver standard.

To indicate that the silver standard has been met, sterling silver pieces are stamped with "925".

To be authentic, a piece must have the "925" imprint. Without that imprint, a piece might look exactly like the genuine article, but it isn't.

That's why we chose 925 Media as the name of our company.

We want a mark of genuine authenticity to be on everything we do.

What should the very first post of a marketing firm's blog communicate?

Normally, in two neatly constructed paragraphs, you would learn what services the firm provides, the monumental achievements of its hip founders, and why its particularly unique revelations about marketing are relevant to everyone- especially you.

But, we never feel the pressure to be like all the other kids in the lunch room.

What we do is not relevant to everyone.

We are passionate about working with great people who are doing great things in ministry.

It's that simple.

So, this is our first post.

Short.

Sweet.

And to the point.

Anything else you need to know, you can probably read between the lines.
